ABOUT
Rachel Walker
After earning art history and biochemistry degrees as an undergraduate, I studied ion channel physiology at the University of Rochester, receiving a Master’s degree in Pharmacology. At Rochester, our lab used knockout models to study ion wave propagation and ion channel regulation in live animals. This experience taught me a great deal about how scientific research is approached and executed.
I also discovered the importance of quality scientific communication, which led me to pursue an education in medical illustration: a career path that combined my abilities with visual communication and my knowledge of life sciences.
I design and create visuals that tell your story. From graphical abstracts for academic publication to didactic designs for students, I work to help you accurately and effectively reach your intended audience.
